The last chapter
I hope.
Keep wondering if his decision would, or not, make a difference?
But I do realise, that I have morphed in the last month. and so has he. I don't recognise him anymore from the pictures. he no longer carries the familiar smiling face that I love. He's just a stranger, to me.
A sense of loss would arise anyhow.
I'm happy, and i party my life away. That's good enough. I have friends who love me for who I am. Though I thought I could have a balance, and love you as long as I can.

Time after time
Love. can't just disappear into thin air.
Everyday. my mind fills with rehearsals, speculations and self-talking.
It hurts.
The longer you take to decide, the more I waver, the more I wish that we can go back to the past.
it hurts. it really hurts.
so please. just make a decision and keep to it. and if you don't want me anymore, then just seal all ties with me. it hurts so much. i want to stab myself to death.
I want to rip out all my memories of our past. I want to dig out my heart and just replace it with a pacemaker.
I'm so tired.. I try so hard to fill up every single moment of my life. but i just can't stop thinking about you. of us. of what may come. Please. can we stop this?

One month.
4th. used to be a happy day every month.

Last words
Relationships, lose their spark once in a while; couples get sick of each other and feel bored.
That's what I thought, stress and fatigue, that led to our end. And a whole lot of faults due to myself..
So I wanted, just to give us one more shot. Even if we don't work out, then we can still be friends.
I really don't understand, what had happened in a day, that made you change your mind so abruptly.
All our hopes and dreams - eating together, trying new food, exploring new places, playing games, visiting art museums, cycling, strolling, cooking, reading, enjoying cafes.
Even if we can't be lovers, can't we enjoy these things, or some of them, as friends?
I really don't know what i did to make you so upset that you can't face me as a friend anymore. What did i do?
You just can't please everyone.. all we can do in life is to be true to ourselves, and that we didn't harm the ones who are our friends, or our loved ones. Everyone will have bad things to say, no matter what you do.
And if you just give up each time it is tiring, hurtful, you might just let go of something that is wonderful. And i didn't want to do that.
But if you are so resistant, all you wanna do is run, i can't catch up with you, you'll hate me for tying you.
All i ask, is for you to let the past go, and let's see what we can still enjoy together. that's all.

Apt 305
I guess I'm just shocked that you can just decide things without wondering how much trouble it can cause others.
I really wished that the apartment switch would have worked out.
And I guess you were thinking since i want a house mate, and can't find a place on my own then you can leave the place and find somewhere else. You were being thoughtful in your own way.
But I have no one to ask to be my house mate. So how?
I understand you have other concerns, that in long term, whatever happens the best way would be if we stayed separately. yes. I agree, and even if things work out, its fine if we stay apart after one year.. But now, this is superbly inconvenient. superbly. headache.

Vacillation
Mood swings, bipolarism.
I just thought of something. you know, even someone who claims to be steadfast and has undying love, faced such an uncertain period before; for no significant reasons.
Things, were just difficult, cumbersome. and well, friends seem to entertain me better than the times we had online.
And you were tired too, but you were certain you didn't want to let go.
Now its my turn. I'll be the stable one for you and I believe we can do it, especially with my realisation of how warped things have become.
We'll really be free and enjoy ourselves even if we might spend much less time together.
Trust, will bring security, and the resulting freedom, will release the chains of burdens in our hearts.

I deleted you from FB yesterday..
I guess whether we are together or not, at least for now i don't wanna hear about your life unless you're the one telling me about it. And in the future, if we are back together, I don't wanna be your FB friend anymore.
Its so difficult, when i'm not that busy.. cos I have so much time thinking about you.
I miss the nights.. I miss hugging you to sleep.. I miss tickling.. I miss hearing your voice.. seeing your face...
now I can only stare at the gChat box and see ohhhhh he's online! but i can't say anything.. and you don't say hi..
I really hope to hear you sometime. I really hope that this is just a break.

Is effort/enjoyment proportional to the end product or length of time one has?
I don't think so.
There are seldom things that will last in life.
My RA attachment, 1 year long - I won't get any paper published. But hey, I produced 6 cko vectors and saved my lab $14,000 x 6.
does it mean that just because i know i'm not going to get anything out of it, i totally resist the attachment? No, i make the best out of it; learn, enjoy and produce as much as I can.
That's how i view life, and I'm sure you understand the meaning of enjoying the moment.
I believe you still value that motive; but its just that it isn't enjoyable anymore?
Then.. that isn't so hard.
Cos I realised I got lost along the way, and I'm ready to get back on track, I'm just waiting for you to agree to give us one more shot.

Days..
I decided i wanna note down the times we talked in this month or things I think about in general.
Saturday 041710
I was awake all morning, and decided I wanted to ask you when was a "good time to talk" when I saw you online. So i asked:
"When might be a good time to chat about the apartment?"
"I asked her already, she's ok with switching"
... my only excuse of hearing you on the phone, poof! and i just suggested... it wasn't a decision. no discussion.
"So is it safe to assume we gonna talk about the rest after your exams?"
"Yeah..."
I was disappointed. how terse. and how unbelievable it suddenly got settled before i knew it, like it had before..?
Monday
"Yayyyy i finally got my recombineering construct!"
You disappeared offline, then came back on later and congratulated me.
You told me how research was not going well, both old and new.. and I told you I would be waiting for your paper :)
Friendly conversation.
Tuesday
"Could you help me with the Permutation and Combination question?"
Woahhh the answer/explanation you gave was great. I could understand it!! :):)

I haven't seen you appear online. I hope you're coping. It's difficult. I know this is beyond the normal limits, but I believe you can make it!!! :)

I love the calamari - though its not the crispy kind. the breading has a unique salty and tasty flavor. and the calamari is rich and chewy. YUM. thousand island-like spicy sauce. fantastisch!
Pizza... I still like parma ham and arugula. maybe we can try anchovies when you're here :)

The dragon that lurks in the fog, but draws closer to the surface as time passes.. - That is my love for you, or I thought, our love.
信 - my insistence on inscribing the pen, so it'll be a special farewell, or momento of sorts for us. That I need to believe in me, and you, need to believe in us.
A pen as special as the nakaya, needs customisation, needs you to tell them what size of nib you want, and what the style of writing you have. There's nothing wrong with requesting customisation; that's the same as for us..
I know the manufacturing screwed up and the pen started leaking periodically.. but, the manufacturer wants to take it back to repair at no costs; and only wants you to give it one more try before deciding to keep or switch for another pen. That's all i'm asking.

Espresso
Remember our poem in SF?
You described our love as an espresso - strong and ephemeral. Honestly.. i was a little disappointed you said it was ephemeral.. but now i realize that it was me who lost sight along the way, and made our espresso sour..
Everyone makes mistakes, I do. But now i realize what went wrong, and all i ask is for you to try it when my cup is ready.. and if you don't like the taste, then go find some other beans.. but if you do, drink it, enjoy the rush of adrenaline until the day the beans run out..
